Hi everyone,

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are gearing up for the festive season! As we approach the end of the year, it’s a great time to focus on wrapping things up and clearing the decks for a fresh start in January. While I believe this is the time to end things rather than start new ones, I must admit I’ve been quite busy these past few weeks — but that’s a story for another time!

This week, I’m sharing five big ideas to inspire you as we head into the New Year. Let’s dive in.

1. The Four D’s of Success

Success comes down to four key elements: Desire, Determination, Discipline, and a bonus D: Design.

• Desire: Everything starts with wanting something deeply. Without desire, there’s no drive to move forward.

• Determination: Desire alone isn’t enough; you need grit and persistence to overcome challenges.

• Discipline: Success requires consistency and hard work over time.

• BONUS: Design: Finally, having a plan, blueprint, or mentor to guide you can make all the difference.

2. Growth Means Change

3. The Kaizen Principle: Small Steps, Big Wins

Inspired by the Japanese concept of Kaizen (continuous improvement), the key to long-term success is improving by just 1% every day. Whether it’s making your customers happier, enhancing your services, or bettering your team, small, consistent improvements add up over time.

Success is all about planting seeds today for the future you want to create. 5. What Got You Here Won’t Get You There

To reach new heights, you’ll need new strategies, relationships, and skills. Reflect on what worked in the past and what needs to change for the future. As Dan Sullivan says, live in the Gain, not the Gap — celebrate how far you’ve come while planning for what’s next.
