As we approach the end of 2024, I want to share a special, focused edition to inspire and energise you as we prepare for an incredible 2025. 1. Simplifying Your Business for Growth

Business doesn’t have to be as complicated as we sometimes make it. One of my core values is KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid.

To illustrate this, let’s look at Apple. Whether you’re an Apple fan or not, you’ll recognise the incredible focus and innovation Steve Jobs brought to the company. When Jobs returned to Apple, the business had lost its way. It was trying to do too many things and be everything to everyone. Jobs realised that to succeed, Apple needed to focus on doing less but doing it better. He refined their product line, prioritised customer value, and said “no” to anything that didn’t fit their core goals.

The result? Apple’s transformation into one of the most successful companies in history.

As you prepare for 2025, ask yourself: What are the 20% of activities that will deliver 80% of your results? This is the Pareto Principle in action. Many people think of it in terms of revenue or customers, but its real power lies in how we use our time.

Where your attention goes, energy flows. Identify the key drivers that will grow your business in 2025. Focus on doing fewer things but doing them exceptionally well. It doesn’t have to mean working harder—it’s about working smarter. Simplify, prioritise, and execute.

2. Making Profitability a Priority

Profitability should always be at the heart of your business. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to fall into the trap of constantly reinvesting and telling ourselves, “I’m growing my business.” But at the end of the day, if there’s no profit, what are you really achieving?

For 2025, I want you to make profitability your primary focus. When you prioritise profit, it forces you to make better decisions. It pushes you to identify waste, streamline operations, and focus on what truly adds value.

There are two simple ways to grow your business:

1. Keep your customers happy and increase the value you provide them. This leads to higher retention and more revenue per customer.

2. Bring in new customers. Often, we overcomplicate things, but growth boils down to these two core principles.
